After farming a couple of Dragon Armlet's off of Blue Dragon's, I got to work grinding off of the Gigas until I eventually got the rare Earth Mallet drop. The crater entrance is the only location in the game where you can run into Gigas, who in turn are the only enemies in the game that drop Earth Mallet's. After that, I resume my journey deep into the Whirlwind Maze, where forced herself into my party.

Side note, but I also swapped in Yuffie since she clears a few important story beats up in regards to Jenova and Sephiroth later on. Otherwise, I made sure not to miss any treasure, and I fought and defeated Jenova DEATH and retrieved the Black Materia. I had a choice between Barret and Red XIII, but I ultimately chose Red XIII to be the one that holds on to it.
