Perfect Target
While testing the new plane I have completely forgotten it can also present an adversary. Considering how much different the Tomcat bot's behavior to most of the ED AI drivers, I was expecting a surprise here as well, but... looks like the AI JF-17 is piloted by the same AI routine that controls the F-16 bots.
However, the plane itself is even more nimble than those F-16s, so the difficulty is upped by quite a notch. The external model, of course, looks significantly better than that of the F-16A, making it a great choice for video recording (the visuals come at the price of more serious system requirements though).
The bot itself is not as challenging as the Mirage 2000-5, but it's only one of the two I would not hesitate to describe as. The aforementioned Tomcat bot loves to lose a lot of energy and rush it into one circle, which doesn't really help him all that much, so it's interesting, but not really challenging.
Not sure if it's just me or the update, but JF-17 doesn't seem as UFO-ish to fly anymore, so I think I'm slowly coming to the conclusion the FM could actually be close to the real deal. Then again, I hope we'll see better displays from the actual real world pilots that will prove it's capable of such maneuvers.
One thing to note though, is that it barely wants to lose altitude at around 200 kts if you snap the wings off...
