Performance Test between HDD, SSD & NVMe
Performance Test between HDD, SSD & NVMe
NOTE: For the NVMe installation near the Video card on the Z790 Hero, leave the 2 thermal pads in there. Just remove the plastic protection from them. Then after installing the NVMe unit, screw the NVMe slot cover back in there since it serves the purpose of a thermal dissipation unit. Without the thermal pads and dissipator, the idle temperature for example, for the sn850x was around 65 degrees Celsius, while with the thermal pad + thermal dissipator (which already comes with the z790 motherboard, so kudos to Asus for that), you lower the temperature 25 to 27 degrees more.
