0"Perplexing Palace of Baneful Bog" by WatchmFall is an engrossing and complex Zelda adventure like no other in Super Mario Maker 2. From the outset, this level grips the player and builds a sense of atmosphere and anticipation as the player character is forced to traverse through the main lobby of the dungeon without the Master Sword, making the final discovery of that power-up as it rises from the poison swamp all the more impactful. Like magic, once the player character has transformed into Link the interior of the dungeon also changes shape to create a series of introductory puzzles designed to test Link's abilities. Yet even this lengthy introduction is just the beginning of an intricately crafted sequence of puzzles more ambitious in scope than just about anything else in Mario Maker, requiring players to use bombs and arrows in combination with one another while manipulating the weight of blasters--and, in one case, racing not one but two arrows down a vertical shaft. While there is no combat and the primary obstacle to solving the mind-bending puzzles is simply the time limit, there are few Master Sword levels nearly as satisfying to complete as WatchmFall's masterpiece.
