On August 17, 2022. A suspect identified by the name of "Peter Larsen" was stopped and identified by police while investigating recent narcotic activities in the area. The man was found to be in possession of a firearm without a license and when confronted about it, resisted arrest and started to run away from officers who attempted to detain him. He fled to his vehicle and started a dangerous pursuit along the northern part of the city through out North Rockford and Partola. Eventually, the suspect's vehicle ran out of fuel and was eventually he was forced to continue the chase on foot bailing out around Portola Drive and Mad Wayne Thunder Drive, the man attempted Grand Theft Auto on a woman at the end of the street, where he was tased but continued to run away after he came to. He then resisted until he got to an alley way off of Mad Wayne Thunder Drive, where he was tased again, and taken into custody.

The man is facing severel charges including Reckless Evading, Failure to maintain lane, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, attempt robbery, Unlicensed possession of a firearm, and loitering with intent.
