This is an experiment based on some stuff I did awhile ago but never recorded. There's some more info in the video comments. But essentially I modified the PAR code that's used with map values higher than FF so I could use it as the warp code itself. Maybe modified isn't the best term. It makes me sound more skilled than I am (which isn't very skilled at all XD )

I just used FFEC28:## and added the map value instead of setting it to 00 or 01. The results are interesting. Sometimes the game crashes. Sometimes you go to a glitched map. But what's most amusing is the combination of enemy formations and battle backgrounds. It seems that this changes depending on where you are. I chose the area I'm in because I had crashes elsewhere. But after further experimenting I tried some other areas and got better results. That's not shown in this video though.

All of the codes I used refer to dungeons and not towns or other areas with no encounters. I did try the Xe-A-Thoul room (not shown) and it didn't crash. But there are encounters there. They're just turned off by default. I don't know if that makes a different in my success there or not.

There does appear to be some logic in what encounters and backgrounds you get where. But I don't know what's happening exactly. It does seem to have something to do with the value of FFEC28## though as far as I can tell. I had been hoping to force specific encounters. But this was as far as I got and it was originally just by accident.

I used battle warping here. But I had the codes on before I got into a battle. Which I usually don't do. Otherwise it won't work the way it does here because you will get into normal battles then be warped to a glitch map or get a freeze afterwards. And in cases of a direct freeze you won't get to see the glitched battle you triggered. Although if you do go to a glitch map the glitched battles should appear. Some will just give you the two monsterflies though.

I'm using the custom party hack. But I tried this with an unpatched game and it also worked.

Codes used:
FFEC28:81
FFEC28:82
FFEC28:8c
FFEC28:83
