When the squad is revealed, this soldier remains concealed.
Soldiers with Phantom always begin a mission concealed, even if the mission type does not allow the squad to begin in concealment.

Phantom paired with snipers. Allows you to kill aliens from a distance. Without leaving invisibility.
And less risk to other soldiers.

And Blademaster, just Deal +2 damage on all sword attacks. When shotgun have potential to do 25+ damage average with rapid fire ! and have 100% to hit.
While the sword can miss.

Unfortunately phantom is less effective until the snipers did not raise the level and accuracy.
However while the sword is very useful early, it becomes less useful later in the game. When the enemies become stronger.
