Some tips when starting out.
1. If you have difficulty with identifying the ghosts, just look for the bones. Pick them up and you will get money for them.
2. After you unlock the photo camera, take pictures of the bones and also any phenomena that occur, such as thrown objects.
3. Start with the thermometer, though it IS quite slow. Usually a good indicator where the ghost room is.
4. EMF is often good next, since the early game contracts are often "detect paranormal activity with EMF". Easy money.
