Model: Philips 26PW6341/37
chassis: L04.1U AA
Service manual: https://elektrotanya.com/philips_l04.1u-aa-chassis.pdf/download.html

I have a standard-definition Philips widescreen flat CRT.
I've recently discovered that I can adjust a number of picture geometry settings via the service menu, accessed by inputting the following on the remote:
0, 6, 2, 5, 9, 6, Exit ("exit" is also the "status" button)

While there are still some other physical/electrical adjustments to be made inside the unit, this menu affords me a reasonable amount of options to adjust basic settings.

My problem is that I cannot seem to understand exactly how to maintain values for the "Widescreen" and "4:3" display modes. I was under the impression that making changes in one mode would be exclusive to that mode, and changes made in another mode would apply only to THAT mode. The service manual makes no specific mention of the differences between these two modes.

It now appears that they are somehow linked, and further to that, the values change on their own depending on which mode you've selected. I haven't done further testing just yet, but on the horizontal trapezoid setting (EWT), it seems like there's an offset of 4 between 4:3 and widescreen, and any value you set in 4:3 mode will be saved as 4 LESS than the number you've selected.

Does anyone out there have any useful information on adjusting one of these units? It's been a great display for years, and I'm just trying to maintain it for years to come.
