0The Stolen Turnabout
After reaching the "hideout" of the master thief, they run into his wife Desiree...and apparently, she loves riding her motorcycle at high speeds and is also...high maintenance, as she seems to have a habit of spending a lot of money shopping. It also turns out that Ron's a bit meek...and very delusional. He always looks up to heroic figures, even going so far as to imitate them...which may explain the Mask deMasque thing. She then hands them a letter to give to Ron.
After reading it, he then says that the letter was Desiree's way of asking Wright to take his case. Taken aback at first, Wright then agrees saying there may be more to the case than at first glance. Of course...this caused a reaction to Pearl. While sorting things at the office, Maya explains why Pearl is so romantically inclined: because the Fey line revolves around its women, most of the men leave the village...making many unsuccessful marriages. Pearl's father was also one of the ones who left, so it was a sensitive issue for her. Not only that, but with Misty still missing and Morgan in solitary after the murder at the village...Maya's practically the only family she has right now.
With the investigation in earnest, they return to Lordly Tailor and find a flustered Adrian. She seemed to have a premonition of something going wrong...and unfortunately it came true, as a result of last night. She even checked every person who was on detail herself...
Not only that, but after a visit to the detective's abode, they learned he was indeed involved in the robbery....but was knocked out due to the heavy sword, which explains the bent shape.
After paying another visit to Desiree, who should appear...but a very familiar acquaintance, who's now taken a part-time job as a security guard. Not only that, the place he worked at, KB Security, is the same place where Ron was working at! Coincidence?
Pearl calls and said she was at the agency, so Wright and Maya head over to meet her. Just then...after seeing the bag, the detective pops in again. He mentions he'll be a witness in the trial tomorrow and that there is a new prosecutor in town...his name is Godot, but not much is known about him. Who's to say how the trial will turn out...?
