I love sharing games that are tailor made to be co-op multiplayer experiences. But what’s cool about the Pico Park games is that the number of players needed is completely flexible.

You can play them with two people, three people, all the way up to 8 at once. They’re described as “action-puzzle games”--but, to me, that’s kind of vague and generic.

Basically, there’s just a ton of variety in the gameplay, and it's completely different, depending on which level you’re playing.

But no matter what kind of craziness you’re doing, the ultimate goal of each level always remains the same: work together and collect the key so that you can unlock the door and exit

I played both games with a couple friends, and although we enjoyed each of them, we definitely all preferred Pico Park 2 over the fist one.

They’re very similar, but, to us, the puzzles in the second game just felt more elegant and clever.

And our favorite surprise was that, after you beat Pico Park 2, you unlock an entire, additional campaign called Dark Mode.

Dark Mode is insanely difficult, but it’s also probably the most fun we had. It’s just so satisfying to work together and finish these levels–because they can seem straight up impossible when you first start them.

Both of the Pico Park games are worth checking out. But if you can only pick one, Pico Park 2 is the clear winner in our book. You can usually find it for less than ten bucks and it’s available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
