157In this game, two players can team up to tackle a series of fast-paced, motion controlled microgames.
Sometimes, you alternate turns, but often, you have to work together.
Your goal is to assume whatever crazy pose the game asks for, then quickly figure out how to complete the prompt before the timer runs out.
You only have a few seconds for each microgame, so things are super chaotic, but, if you’re into this kind of thing, it’s also really fun.
The game leverages the tech inside the Joy-Con controllers to track your motions. Most of the time it works as intended, but it’s not perfect.
Hiccups with the motion-tracking can sometimes lead to you failing microgames, even when you’re doing exactly what the game asks.
It’s not a dealbreaker, but it can be a little frustrating when it happens. So I wanted to bring it up.
We played the story mode entirely in co-op, but you can also play it single-player, or there’s even some party modes for up to four people to all play together.
The name of this game is WarioWare: Move It!, and since it’s a Switch game developed and published by Nintendo, that means it’s rarely or never on sale.
But, if you find it at a price that makes sense for you, it’s a game that we definitely recommend, especially for playing in co-op.
