Picross 2 allows two players to solve a puzzle or just screw each other over. Press A button on the second SNES controller while playing any puzzle. This is not explained anywhere in the game and is very unlikely anyone knew about the well-hidden mode previously.

I found this by tracing the SNES JOYPAD registers read out from the Super Game Boy MLT_REQ 01 command after noticing that MLT_REQ 00 didn't exist, which is used to INIT the SGB command packet reads from the JOPYPAD registers. There is no standard Game Boy link VS 2 competitive mode.
