This is one of those Marching Pikmin levels that's just straight-up hell. With this level, it's IMPOSSIBLE to tell what you're supposed to do with all the rocks just by looking at the level. What makes it especially frustrating is the fact that there's a limited number of times you can hit those rocks until they break, and then you lose the ability to maneuver your Pikmin squad. No more rocks means no more opportunities to re-shape your formation, which means you're completely stuck if your Pikmin are in the wrong places. I stumbled upon this solution by accident, figuring I'd try grouping all my Pikmin together instead of trying to get them past the rocks and through the Candypop Buds one at a time.

After I figured out that making an L-shape with the Pikmin worked out, the last part I made a slight hiccup on was turning the Red Pikmin into White Pikmin. Just like in the mainline games, White Pikmin are faster. In Marching Pikmin, that means they take two steps at a time when you hit an arrow button (unless they're blocked by a "slower" Pikmin). The first time around, I accidentally turned both of my remaining Reds into Whites. They were moving in tandem and right next to each other, meaning there was no way to get one Pikmin to the treasure without the other Pikmin drowning in that puddle of water. Leaving one Red and one White meant that the Red could be used as a "buffer"; and when moving right to approach the poison-gas area, the Red moved one space while the Pikmin moved two, creating a separation of the two Pikmin without needing rocks.

I don't know how this level was made, but whoever made it are GENIUSES, I can tell you that.
