0Another Pikmin Test. You may notice that the way in which the Pikmin follow the leaders is very different. It is not finished yet, and I intend to make a video addressing the new method and drawing parallels to their implementations in Pikmin 1 and 2. Pikmin 3 seems to use its own separate following system, which is what I tried to recreate. Unfortunately, I was not able to get it working in a way that I was satisfied with. Instead, a friend suggested a method to me that sounded so simple that it couldn't possibly NOT work. After doing some more investigation "in the field", I have come to the conclusion that the implementation details we came up with are nearly identical to the implementation of Pikmin following used in the first two games. Stay tuned for that analysis.
