Pilotwings SNES Game Genie and Codes - Set Scores, Infinite Fuel, All Passwords and More!
*Pilotwings* was a launch title for the Super Nintendo all the way back in the United States back in 1991. Ever since, it was a game that I have always loved to come back and play. It is hard enough to not let you breeze through, but not so complicated that it can't be done. (Though, the last helicopter mission is close). :)
There are a lot of great codes and cheats. I will share them below.
MOST of these codes game from Gamehacking.org.
*Game Genie Codes:*
*Plane Engine is Silent* - EE2A -0DDD
I know - its not overly exciting, but interesting and strange thing a game genie can accomplish. This code literally just removes the sound effect from the Light Plane, but otherwise, everything else works as normal. I DID notice that it still does the sound effect when its pulling the hang glider.
*Infinite Fuel* - 108D-0FA7
Though not super needed, infinite fuel can help for some of those missions (especially later) that you are having a hard time getting completed. This can be due to the difficult rings to pass through or bars or more likely, being scared to land. :)
*Reduce Gravity* - 4DE7-CD0F
*Increase Gravity* - CDE7-CD0F
Gravity codes are a little odd. I can BARELY tell the code does a darn thing. This was also stated in the original game genie code book as well. However, with the rocketbelt, you can FOR SURE tell.
*Passwords: All Stages*
*Stage 2* 985206
*Stage 3* 394391
*Stage 4* 520771
*Helicopter 1* 108048
*Stage 5* 400718
*Stage 6* 773224
*Stage 7* 165411
*Stage 8* 760357
*Helicopter 2* 882943
*Action Replay Codes (PAR):*
Set the Score for various aircraft to 165. It won't show a number.
You can technically achieve 100 by changing the last two characters to 0A.
7E1F84FF = Hang Glider
7E1F82FF = Light Plane
7E1F86FF = Rocket Belt
7E1F88FF = Skydiving
This will basically let you pass almost any stage after completing just 2 events. This is REALLY cheating because it will set that score regardless of how well you do.
I cannot get any of these codes to work with the game genie as its stored in a part of the memory that the game genie can't get to.
The other information provided in this video came from web searches.
