PinCrawl 2018
12I was once again lucky to be invited to PinCrawl 2018, a multi-site friendly pinball tournament hosted by members of the Northern Tasmania Pinball Mafia.
Hit the road with fellow Press Play On Tape podcast member Aaron and Gary and we were able to go to Justin's wonderful site for a practice before the tournament proper.
Then it was onto Frank's house with his lovely collection of EM pinball machines for a BBQ and the start of the tournament proper. I didn't too bad coming 5th out of 14, getting a pretty decent score on Eightball Deluxe.
Next we went back to Justin's, but apparently our practice did not help as I actually scored lower on every single machine than I did in practice - perhaps it was the pressure of actually competing - so I came last :(
The last site was hosted by Steve, who has an amazing collection of more modern machines, blown away but what he has in his collection. Really like some of the machines at this site and came around the middle of the pack in the end with some good games and bad games.
So my first round score, meant that I managed to avoid being last overall - but seriously I don't care I got to play pinball for most of the day, and enjoyed every second.
