Pitfall The Big Adventure - 008 [Nintendo Wii]
0Pitfall Harry is back at it again.
This game initially came out for the original Xbox under the title of 'Pitfall The Lost Expedition'. But was ported to the Nintendo Wii in 2008. The graphics have aged incredibly well, as the art style really helps it with that. Gameplay is damn near perfect, EXCEPT! This game was not created with the Wii remote and nunchuk in mind...Infact, it plays absolutely horribly with that control setup.
Thankfully, you can use a gamecube controller if you are playing this on the original Nintendo Wii console (GAMECUBE CONTROLLERS WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS GAME IN THE WII U AND WITH THE GAMECUBE CONTROLLER ADAPTER)
The animation is great! It really is the little things like Pitfall Harry jumping up and bumping his head. Or instead of just having a climbing down animation for when Pitfall Harry is climbing on ladders, they animated him slipping down the ladder, bumping his head on each step on the way down 😂 It's a great touch and it made me actually laugh out loud when playing. Which brings me to the game's humor. It's fantastic! Pitfall Harry is a wise crack'n lady's man and the other characters you meet along the way are very entertaining.
