13This is easily my best run on Game Mode 3, with Evil Otto π Evil Otto is a happy faced ball that bounces around if you take too long in a level. So the key is to be quick!
HOT TIP : Evil Otto goes slower if there is at least ONE bot left on the screen. Use this info to your own advantage if you get around to playing this game! Sometimes you've just gotta ditch the last bot and run like hell to the next level lol.
This game came out in 2023 and is a physical cartridge officially released by Atari. In BERZERK Enhanced Edition, the robots can shoot diagonal which offers a new challenge as this was never a thing in the original BERZERK.
Also the robots talk every time you exit an area. I can't quite figure out what they're saying...Something about...chicken? Anyway! It sounds cool! π
This cartridge works in the original Atari 2600 and even the Atari 7800, but it was released around launch of the Atari 2600 + console. Which is an official Atari product, but it instead rips the rom from the cartridge and emulates it. So the Atari 2600 + is basically emulation hardware.
I actually love this version of BERZERK and I love the new Atari 2600 + console. Sometimes you just feel like blast'n some bots! π
