Pixel Ru^2 doesn't have the greatest of appeals to fall back on at this point, but there's a core experience that may be worth puzzle platform fans times. It's just a question of whether or not that core experience is overshadowed by every thing else the game has. In this dev letter, I explain a bit on the conditions of when less is more: when everything you've added actually has hurt you at that point in development, and why focusing and polishing one element may be better for you and your game.
