Planet Coaster is a new indie game filling that niche long since missing from the gaming community since Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. And what is that niche? A roller coast tycoon game! Wow that is kinda a very specific niche when you think about it.

I think they did a good job capturing that, I'd say its surprising, because for a long time attempts to recapture the beauty of older games were horrible at best. But between this and Cities Skylines, I think it's safe to say we've finally figured out how to do it right. And that solution appears to be giving up on the AAA industry and turing to more indie developers.

Overall I'd say it's a great game if its the kind of game you're looking for. But I don't think I can recommend it if it's not what you're looking for. That is to say once you mess around in the main missions a little, and do a challenge mode park there's not much replayablity to be had. It's generally just way too easy. If you play at a calm pace there's no way to fail.
