Planet Harriers from the Sega Hikaru arcade board running on the latest version of Demul (0.58). This is just on the default settings and the game runs at about 40 - 45 fps so roughly ⅔ to ¾ of the correct speed. Audio in the game is working but is stuttering all over the shop (presumably because the game's not running full speed), so I decide to mute it in the video and replace it with the music from Space Fantasy Zone on the PC Engine CD-ROM (a game that never got officially released. It was a hybrid between Space Harrier and Fantasy Zone. There are complete ISOs of the game floating around on the internet though if you want to give it a go). The more eagle eared amongst you (eagle eared? Is that even a saying?) may also recognise the main Space Fantasy Zone theme as the Race of Ages theme from Sonic and All Star Transformed.

This was literally the second time I've ever played this game, so please excuse any crapness on my part. My general gaming ineptitude wasn't helped by the fact that the analogue controls are hyper twitchy, hence why the player character seems to be jerking about all over the place. A light touch on the control stick is definitely recommended, something it took me awhile to work out. D'oh... Also, at present you can only play the Hikaru games in Demul 0.58 in a 640x640 window with no option to fullscreen (Alt-Enter doesn't work like it does for Dreamcast, Atomiswave et cetera), whic adds to the challenge a bit.
