Today, I will be discussing the overlooked strengths of Tim Burton's 'Planet of the Apes'. Due to its gloomy settings, decent acting and exceptional ape make-up, this film is easily more effective than the original in convincing us that a planet of apes exists. Well worth a look.
(Tune in tomorrow for my two-part review of 'The Matrix Revolutions', a maligned sequel which I still thoroughly enjoy, unlike most critics on the Internet. Cheers!) .
