Planning the New City From Scratch! | Hard Playthrough | Part 21 | S1 | WR:SR
99Welcome to Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic. Today we setup our animal production to cover 100% of our slaughterhouse. WOW.
This is maybe the best city builder on the market right now, and it is in EARLY ACCESS! I’ve spent about 1000 hours on this game, and I still haven’t reached an endgame…maybe in this series we can actually get there. For now, the goal is Nuclear Power and Self Sufficiency…no idea if we will make it.
In this series, I would like to create a functional society, with all the bells and whistles, that can self-sustain itself throughout the ages. We will follow the rules loosely, but I hope we will do it in a way that makes playing and watching fun. We will have a living rule set that we will update as we see fit. No cheating allowed, and we need to aim for self sufficiency as soon as possible. Don’t underestimate this playthrough, it will be hardcore!
I would love to make this an interactive series…any input from you will be appreciated and considered!
This should also serve as a tutorial or how to series, where I go into a little more detail on some things that I have found questions on around the forum. This will especially concern setup/planning, terraforming on mountains and rail implementation.

WR:SR is an amazing sandbox city/republic builder, that allows you to control all aspects of your new country, from citizens happiness, health, education to production chains, vehicle and resource production, import export. You can do all this by truck, train, ship, and in the near future plane. There are a million ways to make your republic your own and that’s what we will do.
