Hey everyone! A huge thank you to all who have gotten involved and helped already to bring this project to life!
Here's what's happened in the last two weeks (Week 7 devblog):
-Added new mobile controls and ported the entire project to android.
-Implemented basic save system (will continue expanding as the project grows).
-Started replacing tree assets, with most already done.
-Continuing to scale everything to real-world size.
-Fixed bugs in the tree planting system; it now works flawlessly in editor, just need to fix on mobile ( as you can see in the video ).
-Made several smaller improvements
-Further developed the sapling system and tree evolution lines; the complete tree lifecycle (planting, growth, adult actions like relocation/new saplings/fruiting/cutting) is soon to be completed.
-Conducted lots of optimization.
What to expect in the next few weeks:
-Integration of the level system.
-More UI enhancements such as player stats, examination, modification, inventory, player level.
-Start adding small vegetation (mostly harvestables like flowers, mushrooms, herbs, etc.).
-Begin adding buildings.
It's been great to hear more opinions and have conversations in this and other discords. I'm active on about six PtW-related discord servers, so it'd be nice if discussions from there could come here to increase activity for everyone, not just the core players! As always, any ideas, suggestions, criticisms, hate, anger, frustration etc., are welcomed. Here's a video showcasing the discussed topics.
