Plantronics is a well know for the office and mobile headset and down right good ones too. I was excited to find out that Plantronics also makes a line of gaming headsets. Welcome the Gamecom 777 surround sound headset for PC gaming, this gaming headset features Dolby headphone 7-channel audio technology. Which can only be accessed by using the USB sound card dongle, that bring out the full versatility of the headset. A hidden mic boom swings down when you need to communicate with others, powerful 40mm speakers. It has also got in-line volume controls for the separate audio channels. Plus the headset has a noise canceling g feature that aims to provide clearer communication
Design
The Gamecom 777 has got powerful 40mm speakers, which are enclosed in a padded ear cups, with the left ear cup housing a retractable mic that can be neatly talking away. The headphones are retractable to fit various head sizes. with each ear cup having some adjustability for comfort.
Conclusion
from the video you can see the sound quality of the Gamecom 777 headset is amazing. Yes it pretty much the best quality I have gotten from a gaming headset period. The sound quality is crisp and clear with no distortions or reverb on audio feedback. The mic has clear volumes and you can be heard easily in a conversation. The USB Dolby sound card does work and work well, it enhances the audio quality of your gaming experience with a simulated 7.1 surround experience.
But there are some draw backs to the Gamecom 777, which have to do with the design of the unit. The rigid military style design does make the unit feel a little weighted, and I found myself periodically adjust the headset for comfort. So a word of advice hear" you may not want to wear the headset for too long". Other than that I recommend the Plantronics Gamecom 777 gaming headset , to any gaming look for pure audio gaming fidelity.
