Playing Original Starcraft for the First time in 20 Years.
0I was a bit bored last night and was wondering what I was going to do with myself.
For some reason I remembered my time back in school when me and my friends used to Starcraft together.
We would use the schools LAN network to play against eachother but some of us also had a copy at home to play solo.
Most of us were in fact using a ripped off copy of the game that got passed around on a CD or Memory stick at the time. This was back in the days when Limewire was still a thing.
Anyway I wondered if there was a way to download and play this nearly 25 year old game on a modern Windows 11 PC.
And it turns out there is, and it's official too so no more ripped off copies for me.
When it eventually downloaded I thought I would make use of the screen capture software I hardly ever use and give it a (Not so) quick game before going to bed.
It's being about 20 years since I played this game and it's safe to say I'm rather rusty with it.
I decided early on to just use the cheats for this first game, all I wanted to do was have an explore of the game and try and remember what it's like to play.
I will be making more videos in the future where I play the game properly but this is just a starter.
