Edit: OK so I was a bit harsh on this game and it was pointed out to me that I am supposed to be a ghost and hence the lack of colliders and the ability for my hands to pass through objects. I will say though that I still find it uncomfortable in a VR game for this to be the case as it just makes the world feel off and less solid. I also still feel that the interaction system with objects in this game needs a LOT of work!!! It was just very clunky and again this made the game uncomfortable for me and kept taking me out of the experience and adding to my growing level of frustration.
I guess in retrospect, a lot of my frustrations were stemming from my hype for and then being let down by the performance of Airlink! The audio in the game is actually quite good and it was Airlink that was making it sound bad!!! Still a lot of work to do here from Oculus and I will say that at this time Virtual Desktop is still a better choice for wireless VR streaming to a Quest 2.
Tonight I'm gonna give in and do some horror by popular demand! A lot of you have been asking me to stream myself playing VR horror games and while I am not scared to do it, I have just found that most of these games rely too much on cheap jump scares and I don't wanna be the first old fat guy to have a heart attack on a live stream in VR... LOL
But in all seriousness, Wraith looks to be more than just your typical VR jump scare fest so I am actually looking forward to heading into the Barclay Mansion to see what Fast Travel Games has cooked up with this one! I will try to check the chat from time to time so if there's anything you wanna know just put it in there! See you guys on the other side!!! [;]-)
