This is just a quick video (essentially playing around with a slideshow editor - hence the text disappearing too rapidly)

Sony released their much vaunted PS2 console in Japan in March 2000 however prior to the release in the February they held an event called the PlayStation Festival 2000 in Tokyo. This event allowed them to preview upcoming software for their then next-gen system. Also at this event they gave away demo disks to attendees so they would have software to play when they inevitably purchased the system.

These disks ranged from very early proof of concepts like the GT2000 disk which is essentially GT2 given a PS2 boost through to more traditional playable demos that were much closer to the final release. Others were barely interactive at all (limited to changing the camera). Still - all together they make a nice little curio.

This video is just a slideshow of the disks themselves, the packaging they came with and the bag they came in.

The music is from Capcom's MegaMan 2 and is from Wily Stage 1-2 and then Expander from Streets of Rage 2/Bare Knuckle 2 (Sega/Yuzo Koshiro)

If people are interested I'll take quick videos of each of the disks and upload.
