Playtesting The Tale Of Bistun, 1 Hour 4 Chapters, Very Engaging
In this video I will be playing the 1st 4 chapters of a new indie game that came out a couple of months ago, The Tale Of Bistun.
Honestly, the game is fantastic. I played for an hour & got a lot done in the hour & felt satisfied.
The game is likely less than 4 hours long but it is a great experience based on a Persian Legend.
Voice acting for the most part was good, apart from Shirin, but I think the voice is done in such a manner for a reason.
The only thing I found could be improved was an option to zoom in, especially during the fight scenes.
The controls are very responsive & combat is decent.
The camera work is excellent, it frames every scene perfectly.
The environment are varied with bright vibrant colors & contrasting night & day cycles. When you travel to the ethereal world, it is a treat of dark heavily saturated environments.
I really can't find anything to complain about. As I was playing, I was reminded of Torchlight & older PS2 games like Champions of Norath, minus an inventory system (it feels odd at first but when you realize it is a narrative driven experience with situational equipment swaps, you will forget about an inventory system)
I am playtesting The Tale Of Bistun on my Playstation 5.
I do recommend trying this game.
