Revision Zero is now obtainable again due to the exotic mission rotator that was added in Season 22. You can get the pattern by running the Operation: Seraph Shield mission in the Legends tab. The catalyst and upgrades come from subsequent completions of the mission on Legend difficulty. You will need to complete Operation: Seraph Shield four times on legend difficulty to get all of the catalyst perks and Hunter’s Trace Upgrades.
This gun feels like a marriage between No Time to Explain and Outbreak Perfected. It has the clean sight picture of No Time and stability and ease of use of Outbreak Perfected. On top of being easy to use, it comes with intrinsic anti-barrier rounds, and a sniper mode that is activated by landing precision hits. The sniper rounds hit hard, having a 3 times precision multiplier, and can benefit from Fourth Times the Charm, one the catalyst options for a total of 6 shots. Did I mention that it looks dope yet?
I crafted mine with Corkscrew Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Vorpal Weapon, Fourth Times the Charm and Composite Stock. Revision Zero is a monster in PVE due to its viable engagement distance, sustained dps, and perk options.
With the roll that I described, damage falloff starts at 105 meters for the heavy 2-burst fire, and 98 meters for the light 4-burst fire when ads’ed, which is ridiculous. You are getting the highest range possible out of all pulse rifles, which means picking off ads from a distance is incredibly easy. Data for this section was taken from D2 Foundry.
The sustained dps of the gun is 11360 when in 2-burst, and 9843 in 4-burst. For comparison, the sustained dps of outbreak perfected with 5 nanites on a target is 11328, and sustained dps for No Time is 5394. However, if you are looking for even higher dps numbers, I would have to recommend more close range options, like Final Warning, Devil’s Ruin, and Quicksilver Storm. Perk options is where this gun really shines. The catalyst allows for the choice between Feeding Frenzy, Under Pressure, Outlaw, and Vorpal Weapon in the 5th slot. Feeding Frenzy is good for ad clear, since you can easily reload after killing a few weak units. Under Pressure is a great consistency perk that grants stability and accuracy as the mag depletes, but is meant for PvP more than anything. Outlaw is okay, but is outclassed by Feeding Frenzy since it requires a precision final blow. However, what takes the crown is Fourth Times the Charm, which achieves what outlaw and feeding frenzy do, but better. It eliminates the need to reload by a lot, and allows you to shoot 6 sniper shots, assuming the first 4 are all precision hits, essentially giving out free damage. This gun is great for any player that prefers to engage enemies from a distance, while still contributing to the team.
Now, I think the best part of Revision Zero is its ability to change fire modes, based on player preference. If you like aggressive pulse rifles like Disparity, the 4 burst at 450 RPM is perfect for you. If you love the feel of Graviton Lance, the 2 burst at 327 RPM is great. Don’t let DPS charts make you decide what’s better, use what you like when you want.
Revision Zero doesn’t really have insane synergy with subclasses or exotic armor, but that’s ok. It’s a great standalone weapon, and workhorse all around. I’m glad I manage to get this gun and upgrade it. Do yourself a favor, and farm it out while you can. I hope this brief video explanation helped you out. Thank you for watching, and happy farming!
