When I realized that the Arma 2 Map Utes had already officially been ported to the DayZ Version of Bohemia Interactives Enfusion Game Engine, yet it was left languishing as a "Terrain Sample" for modders to practice on, I knew we had to do something.
I know it's not a trivial matter to update the map and write a mission file, but with the facts that DayZ & Bohemia Interactive already own the rights to the map and everything in it, perhaps if we could show enough interest in the project they could put some resources into it to bring the little map to DayZ Console, PlayStation, Xbox & PC.
To make the map playable in DayZ I think they'd have to limit the maximum server population size, and being so small Utes would offer a very different gameplay experience to Chernarus & Livonia, but I'm sure the DayZ team could come up with some interesting additions to bring the island to life.
