[Pod] Azthec
2This is Azthec, the first extra track from POD Gold. But don't get fooled. First doesn't mean easy. Not at all.
Azthec is full of traps that can get you very easily, even if you're experienced. In fact, the beta version (called Aztec) was much easier... Too much easy actually, so the designers decided to make it harder by breaking the bridge, removing some guard-rails and adding a vicious dead-end. Damn you Ubi developers, you sadists :)
Apart from that, Azthec is a pretty cool track with a nice-looking artwork. It even features a shortcut, and yet another shortcut in the shortcut! Never heard about "shortcutception" guys?
At 0:43, hit the ramp to enter the small tunnel. But immediately after that, slow down and make a hard left to take the second shortcut. It needs some practice to achieve these shortcuts, but it's definitely worth it!
Oh, and you probably noticed the car change in this video? Well, I thought that Gold tracks need to be raced with Gold extra cars as well. The Arakn seems to be the best choice among these, with its great output and its amazing jump ability. But watch out for Nitro and his superfast Buffo!
