*CHERISH THIS*

The title for this is after the fact that all of Alex's Pokemon were caught in Cherish Balls. I don't really mind if Pokemon are all caught in a specific ball. As long as they're legitimate in terms of movesets and natures, I'm cool with it since I do this sort of thing too. As you can see, from this mono-Normal team, all of these Pokemon are caught in Heal Balls whether they actually can in the game or not. The reason is because Heal Balls kind of match the theme I'm going for.

Kangaskhan - Sydney - Fake Out, Return, Hammer Arm, Sucker Punch

Kangaskhan is a weird choice for this team because they're usually too fast for Trick Room to help them. Hammer Arm certainly assists me in this situation since it lowers Kangaskhan's speed while also being a pretty heavy blow. I knew that this team would need a Scrappy Pokemon for Ghosts. While Sucker Punch is super-effective against most Ghost-types, it's great to have a move like Hammer Arm that can hit Spiritomb and Sableye and be super-effective against them too.

Eevee - Evelyn - Quick Attack, Helping Hand, Return, Curse

This is yet another case of a Pokemon that can do something their evolved forms can't. Eevee stands alone, and it does just fine without having to evolve because of its Adaptability ability. The only problem with this Eevee is that she has no moves that can hit Ghost-types...but hey. Every now and then, people run into similar situations where one of their Pokemon just can't hurt certain types. Against foes that take neutral damage from Normal attacks, Eevee is awesome.

Kecleon - Liza - Aqua Tail, Return, Trick Room, Rock Slide

Aqua Tail was a random move. I really didn't know what else to give Kecleon. Maybe later, I'll change it to something else...Ice Punch perhaps. After this team was made I realized that it was the ONLY one that didn't have an Ice move, and I've found time and time again (with other teams) that Ice is an especially helpful type to have in your arsenal, so yeah...someone's going to get an Ice move. Aqua Tail is probably there for Rock-types.

Spinda - Amanda - Flail, Sucker Punch, Trick Room, Endure

Spinda's pretty awesome if I do say so myself. I may replace Endure with Ice Punch (instead of replacing Kecleon's Aqua Tail) since I think I want her to have another attack. Endure's nice to have, but she isn't holding a "pinch" item. Endure just powers up Flail which...after the first turn...will most likely be powered up all the way anyway. Her nickname used to be Japanda because of the red dot on her head (representing the Japanese flag), but I changed it. Now she's Amanda Panda. Heh.

Togetic - Skye - Nasty Plot, Follow Me, Heat Wave, Water Pulse

I love Togetic, and I hate Togekiss. Togetic has Serene Grace too, but since I already have two extremely annoying Serene Grace flinchers on Joaquin's team on top of the fact that I hate Togekiss, I decided to go with Togetic instead who can be just as annoying with his moveset. He can take hits crazy well too, and that's always a plus. Follow Me is a risk with such a nice defensive Pokemon, but if he can survive that AND set up a Nasty Plot, he's golden. He often pulls it off too!

Girafarig - Otto - Protect, Trick, Psychic, Thunderbolt

What's a Normal team without Girafarig? A Pokemon that can take care of those pesky Fighting types that show up all too often. He's another weird one to have on this team since it relies on Trick Room quite a bit, but his item assists him. He's a great late-gamer in that when Trick Room is about to end, he can Trick his Iron Ball onto a fast opponent making them move later than my Pokemon. I've only gotten to do that once though. Either this team or my opponent cleans up really well most of the time before he has a chance to Trick.

This opponent was fun to fight. Gengar with Dark Pulse is interesting since Dark-type moves have about the same effectiveness as Ghost-ype moves. On top of that, Gengar gains STAB from Ghost-type moves. Maybe he wanted to make sure his Gengar could hit Normal-types, but to see it without Thunderbolt too was also a surprise. I don't think I've ever faced a mixed Magmortar before either. Quite interesting. Some of the moves were odd from the opponent, but they weren't so outrageous that I'd peg him as a beginner.

I chose - Kecleon, Togetic, Eevee, and Girafarig

Alex chose - Gengar, Magmortar, Staraptor, and Crobat
