*VARIETY SHOW*

It's been awhile since my last upload. I've only played a video game twice in about a month. These battles were all recorded in September and early October for this marathon. There are only two videos left! The very last video of the PBR marathon will be my 100th battle! How cool is it that it worked out that way? But first, here's the Sonya pass (aka the ShadowyPaint wannabe pass). =P

Venonat - Fuzzy - Disable, Agility, Sleep Powder, Baton Pass

Venonat has an awesome ability that Venomoth does not: Compoundeyes. If anyone thinks I use Venonat in a way that Venomoth can be used, it wouldn't be true. Some people think that using baby Pokemon is pointless when they evolve into something "better", but those people also have a tough time seeing what these guys can do that their evolved forms can't. Venonat's Sleep Powder hits almost 100% of the time (whereas Venomoth's can't), and Disable is especially useful against Pokemon like Flygon who almost always carry a choice item.

Teddiursa - Pooh - Earthquake, Facade, Crunch, Seed Bomb

And then there's the other argument about using baby Pokemon that the person using them just likes them more than their evolved forms! This set is definitely something Ursaring could use and probably use better, but Teddiursa is my all-time favorite Pokemon. It was a Gold exclusive back in the day, and I remember being happy that I was able to catch him naturally and not my friend who was stuck with Phanpy (who is also cute) instead.

Absol - Yinyang - Swords Dance, Stone Edge, Psycho Cut, Night Slash

Yep, this lady is all about the critical hits. Absol is one of the prettiest Pokemon out there in my opinion. The odd thing with this set is that...it doesn't seem like she achieves anymore critical hits than she normally would. I wonder if Super Luck doesn't affect moves with high critical hit ratios. Absol is still a very powerful attacker, it'd just be nice to see her ability pull through every once in awhile.

Octillery - Ursula - Water Spout, Energy Ball, Ice Beam, Flamethrower

This Octillery is fast as all get out when an Agility is Baton Passed to her (194 speed at level 50), so it's easy to see when something is scarfed (like our Flygon here). She's awesome. Water Spout is a great addition to her movepool, and I knew when making this team that I'd need some extra powerful moves in order to be successful because Venonat is almost always used and is only used for support.

Gallade - Blade - Destiny Bond, Ice Punch, Drain Punch, Psycho Cut

This guy is fun to use. I don't know how many people would expect Destiny Bond to be pulled out of the wazoo. On top of that, he takes special attacks like a dream. He has nice coverage, and the types he's weak to aren't all that threatening to this team as a whole.

Mamoswine - Seleeta - Earthquake, Ice Fang, Light Screen, Reflect

This Mamoswine isn't your typical one. I loved the fact that it could set up both screens, so I took advantage of that. There was only one battle that I had featuring Mamoswine that I wished I had Ice Shard like everyone else, and it was against an Extremespeeding Togekiss. I prefer Ice Fang. Mamoswine's attack power is awesome, and so is its attack animation. =P

This battle was all about Octillery yet again. With Sniper and a Razor Claw, she's pretty great and scores more crucial criticals than Absol...which is weird. Here, she scored a critical hit on Bronzong with Flamethrower. Now...in order for that Bronzong to survive, it HAD to have been of the Fireproof variety. I can't say I've seen very many of those, and I commend my opponent for using one. I really don't think I needed Venonat for this one. My opponent's Pokemon were all pretty slow.

I chose - Venonat, Octillery, and Absol

Kuruhiba@ chose - Flygon, Bronzong, and Porygon2
