It's time to start a new journey in Kohto. Welcome to Pokemon Bronze (The Randomized Nuzlocke)! This is a ROM Hack made by Freako, the same dude who made Dark Graystone, and we talk about why we probably can't play that as a Nuzlocke.

Pokemon Bronze is a ROM hack of Pokemon Gold created by Freako (most known for his hack “Pokemon Dark Graystone”, which was featured on Vinesauce). The game was created to be a regular Pokémon game in Generation II. Unlike a majority of ROM hacks, this aims to be your regular Pokémon affair. The game will also have a sequel, “Pokemon Bronze 2”, which is currently in development.

Welcome to the region of Kohto, situated south-west of Kanto (and connected via underground path). It is lush with varied routes, 10 towns, and 8 official Gyms, which have slightly higher level Pokémon than in Gold/Silver for a little more of a leisurely adventure. Although not entirely accessible, the Kanto region featured in Bronze returns a few areas removed from the region in Pokémon Gold/Silver to re-explore.
Set shortly after the events in Pokémon Gold/Silver, you and your rival are living in Cartridge Town of the Kohto region about to start their Pokémon journey. You collect your starter from the resident Professor Koa, get a Pokédex from Professor Oak, and begin your quest of defeating the 8 gyms of Kohto, and then, the Pokémon league.
However… with Team Rocket recently disbanded, another group is stepping up to the plate to cause trouble!

Nuzlocke Rules:
- The player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.
- Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released or put in the Pokémon Storage System permanently.
- You must must also nickname all of your Pokémon, for the sake of forming stronger emotional bonds.
- White out is considered “Game Over” unless stated otherwise via the audience. (A poll would be created to determine this decision
- Pokemon freely received from NPCs/static encounters/etc. are usable and do not count towards an area’s catch.
- Species/Dupes Clause: Adjusting the first encounter rule to prevent the player from having to catch multiple of the same Pokémon, for the sake of variety. Generally this means that the trainer can keep fighting Pokémon in the area until one is encountered that has not been caught yet, which then immediately counts as the first encounter.
- Any other rules deemed necessary throughout the playhrough will be added to this list.
