This is the first segment where you can here some small audio desync. I caught a Sandshrew and I dodged the Hiker on Route 33. I bought some Repels and a Super Potion and I entered the Slowpoke Well. Almost all the Pokémon of the Rocket Grunts were 2HKO'd by Ember. All the Zubat could confuse Cyndaquil, so I equiped the Bitter Berry on it. It evolved into Quilava before the last Grunt and his Koffing was a 3HKO.
I entered the gym and all the trainers were simple OHKO's with Ember. Ledyba could barely survive and I dodged the spinner before Bugsy. Both his Medapod and Kakuna were OHKO's and his Scyther a 3HKO with Ember. I could lose if it managed to land a critical Quick Attack on Quilava, but this fight was pretty save.
