Dunsparce carried the first 3 gyms by setting up Defense Curl and spamming Rage, one of the best moves for the early game.
Sadly, while Digging its way through Mortys gym, it succumbed to the Ghost types' Curse.
As if that wasn't bad enough, being unprepared and underleveled for Chucks Poliwrath almost resulted in a team wipe, and Ampharos barely clutched it out!
The main reason for this was that I wasn't sure how many trainers would be between Chuck (30) and Pryce (31). Retrospectively, evolving Flaafy at 30 would have made the fight free.
Lanturn made short work of Pryces Ice team, and Ampharos Fire Punched its way through Jasmines Steel types.
Clairs Dragonairs was no match for Totos Ice Punches. Her Kingdra was crippled by Togetics Charms and Lanturns Thunderwave + Confuse Ray.

For the E4, I brought my GIGACHAD team: Ampharos, Quagsire, Togetic, Lanturn, a 1 HP Heracross, and Sudowoodo!

Ampharos Fire and Thunder Punched its way through Will and Koga.
Quagsire set up Defense Curls and Earthquaked Brunos team.
Karens Umbreon got yeeted by Heracross' Reversal, and the rest of her team was no match either.
After Lances Gyarados got delibitated by Togetics Charm and Lanturns Thunderwave and Confuse Ray, our +6 Def / SpDef Quagsire rolled its way into the Hall of Fame!
