I've made it to Vermilion City, I've get rid of that Olga bitch and have recovered my two badges in the Diglett Cave, I had the HM01 Cut in S.S. Anne so I can access the gym where Lieutenant Surge is awaiting and will confront us after a little child puzzle. Two switchs to turn on BTW.

Onix is a must-have in this fight, its ground-type block ALL the electric moves so you can't be paralyzed except with Static, and his rock-type block the normal ones xD it's powerfull enough to get rid of a whole electric pokemons team. Electric pokemons can do NOTHING against it. But hey I just hate Double Team. Cm'on Surge, just learn Surf to your Pikachu and your Raichu and you'll be fine, just like it was in Pokemon Stadium.

You can have Onix in Mt Moon, the first floor is the best I think. You can also use Diglett or Sandshrew if you wish.
