Hello, my name is Danny-Z and welcome to GamerU tips, tricks and tutorial videos for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. To win contests in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, or OR/AS, it's an absolute necessity to do well in the introduction round. The way to do well in that round is to feed the participating Pokemon the same type of pokeblock as the contest it is participating in. Here is how the color of the blocks match up to the different contests: red increases cool, blue increases beauty, pink increases cute, green increases clever, yellow increases tough and rainbow blocks increase all traits; you need four separate color berries to make one. To make pokeblocks, you have to mix two to four berries that match their corresponding traits, but just to make this simpler, we're only going to be listing the berries that are easiest to obtain and best to use:
Red/Cool - Roseli, Haban, Payapa, Chople and Occa.
Blue/Beauty - Apicot and Ganlon.
Pink/Cute - Petaya
Green/Clever - Salac
Yellow/Tough - Leichi
Pokeblocks can be created in each color and can be made into a better version called a pokeblock+ which raises traits even more than ordinary pokeblocks. The berries listed before will give you the best chance to get a pokeblock+ and are obtainable in the game. There are actually better berries that can be used to increase the odds of getting a pokeblock+, but they are only obtainable via events or from other people who have benefited from the event.
