Hello, my name is Danny-Z and welcome to GamerU tips, tricks and tutorial videos for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. One of the mechanics for faster travel in OR/AS is riding on bikes! Unlike normal bikes like in previous games, or the roller skates in X&Y, the bikes in this game come in two kinds; the Acro Bike and the Mach Bike. The Mach Bike is much faster than the Acro Bike so it's usually picked for traveling around; it can also traverse up steep slopes at full speed. With all this, why would anyone use the Acro Bike? The answer is that the Acro Bike can perform tricks to enter new areas. You can press the B button with any direction to hop across bridges and you can hold the B button to start hopping and travel up certain ledges. Here's the issue, normally, you can only have one of these bikes at a time, but there are certain areas in the Safari Zone and in certain Mirage Caves where you need both! Thankfully, you can get both, and very easily too. All you have to do is talk to three trainers while on either bike. One trainer is a Bird Keeper in Route 119 using the Acro Bike, another trainer is a Hex Maniac in Route 111 (near the desert) and the final trainer is any Triathlete in the Battle Resort. After speaking to these three, go back to Rydel's Cycles (the place where you got your bike) and Rydel will give you the other bike. Congrats! Now you can go wherever you want without having to come back and change bikes!
