I managed to avoid rotating trainers and wild Pokémon in Route 116. I fought the Hiker because I needed the exp. I used the Repel I picked up when entering the Rustturf Tunnel. The Poochyena of the Magma Grunt was a lot easier and he gave me the Devon Goods and Peecko back.
I went back to Rustboro City and received the useless Pokénav. I also bought some Super Potions, Repels and X-items. I received HM01 Cut to get some Rare Candies in the future. I fought the Rich Boy for the exp and the money and picked up some berries for later. I sailed to Dewford Town with Mr. Briney and entered the Granite Cave.

Saved at 0:23 with a L15 Mudkip.
