At the start of the video, I enter a Mystery Gift code which was live last week, I forgot about it then, and you get an Ability Capsule if you are wondering, and I make a sandwich to get the Raid Power Level 2 for Poison-type, what I did was type in "Raid Power Level 2 sandwich" on Google, and the first option is Reddit, which has a list on which ingredients you need for Raid Power Level 2.
To go over this event, here is our next Unrivalved Pokémon, or Mighty Pokémon as it's called according to Serebii.net, and the Pokémon for this event is Greninja, the Water-type Starter Pokémon introduced in Pokémon X & Y, can't believe it's been 10 years since the games were announced. Greninja is one of the most popular Pokémon in the series, back in 2016, there was a Japanese poll on the most popular Pokémon, and Greninja placed 1st in that poll. There was the Pokémon of the Year vote which was held by Google in 2020, and the winner of that was Greninja.
This game is Greninja's first main series appearance on a Nintendo Switch game, but not the first Nintendo Switch game, Greninja was in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and in Pokémon UNITE, and after being absent in Generation 8, it is back once again. During the event, Greninja will have the Poison Tera Type, and the 4 and 5 Star Tera Raids will have Lucario and Bronzong as part of the event.
Greninja's moves are Gunk Shot, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, and Night Slash, and it has Double Team and Toxic Spikes for additional moves, making it a very difficult opponent. It usually starts with Double Team to get an evasion boost, and Toxic Spikes to poison any Pokémon that are sent into battle. What makes this difficult is that while the Poison-type is weak to Psychic and Ground, Greninja's base type is Water/Dark, Water to take on Ground-type Pokémon, and Dark to deal with Psychic-type Pokémon. I trained up a Gastrodon for this event to see how it works, she has Storm Drain for her Ability to nullify Greninja's Hydro Pump, and for her moves, I went with Earth Power and Mud-Slap for her Ground-type moves, Earth Power for a dealing damage, and Mud-Slap to decrease Greninja's accuracy, I have Clear Smog to remove Greninja's evasion boosts, and the fourth move is a filler, like Recover, and I changed Gastrodon's Tera Type to Ground to give Earth Power the extra boost.
Some other notable options are Quagsire and Clodsire with Water Absorb, which can use Acid Spray to decrease Greninja's Special Defense, have access to Recover, and can use moves like Earthquake to deal damage, the downside to Clodsire is it has to be wary of Ice Beam, but it does have good Special Defense to take it well. Slowbro with the Stored Power strategy is a decent option, but it has to watch out for Night Slash crits, and it is weak to Dark to begin with. Gallade is a solid choice, its new Ability of Sharpness powers up Psycho Cut after some Swords Dance boosts, and Vaporeon with Stored Power after setting up Acid Armor and Calm Mind, and it can use Tera Blast from the Ground Tera Type to help out in the battle.
As with Bronzong and Lucario, they appear in the 4 and 5 Star Tera Raid Battles during the event, Bronzong can be found with the Psychic Tera Type, and Lucario with the Steel Tera Type, and they can make decent options against Greninja. Bronzong's moves in the 4 Star Tera Raid Battles are Confuse Ray, Gyro Ball, Iron Defense, and Psybeam, while the 5 Star Tera Raids have Stored Power, Gyro Ball, Iron Defense, and Heavy Slam, with Reflect and Light Screen for extra moves. Lucario has Metal Claw, Work Up, Vacuum Wave, and Bone Rush in the 4 Star Tera Raids, while Lucario in the 5 Star Tera Raids have Meteor Mash, Swords Dance, Vacumm Wave, and Earthquake, with Work Up and Iron Defense as extra moves. As for their match-ups against Greninja, Bronzong does have a bit more Defense than Slowbro, but its HP is a bit lower, making Slowbro more reliable, and it can learn Calm Mind and Stored Power to deal some damage, while Lucario can use Swords Dance or Nasty Plot depending on the set, Screech or Metal Sound to lower the defensive stats, Special Lucario can use Psychic, while Physical Lucario has access to Earthquake and Zen Headbutt.
Going over Greninja, this one has the Hidden Ability of Protean, which did get nerfed in this generation where it only activates once per switch in, and it has a Sassy Nature, you will need to use a Mint to change it to Hasty or Naive, as Greninja can be a good Mixed Attacker. It learns a wide variety of moves, like its signature Water Shuriken, along with others, like Extrasensory, and a bunch of good TM moves, like Trailblaze, Low Kick, U-turn, Ice Punch, Grass Knot, Waterfall, Rock Slide, Taunt, Swords Dance, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Gunk Shot, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, Liquidation, Surf, and Tera Blast, Greninja has good move versatility, this Pokémon did get banned in Gen 6 because of its unpredictability with Protean.
