Pokémon Stadium 2 Free Battle 182
Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Weepinbell, Porygon2, Arcanine, Vulpix, Lanturn, Metapod
CPU Team: Corsola, Doduo, Feraligatr, Bellossom, Weezing, Chinchou
Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Weepinbell: Razor Leaf, Sludge Bomb, Stun Spore, Growth
Porygon2: Swift, Zap Cannon, Thief, Conversion
Arcanine: Flame Wheel, ExtremeSpeed, Leer, Roar
Vulpix: Flamethrower, Dig, Confuse Ray, Sunny Day
Lanturn: Hydro Pump, Spark, Flail, Supersonic
Metapod: Harden
The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Corsola: Surf, AncientPower, Mirror Coat, Attract
Doduo: Drill Peck, Tri Attack, Steel Wing, Double Team
Feraligatr: Water Gun, Dig, DynamicPunch, Leer
Bellossom: Petal Dance, Cut, PoisonPowder, Attract
Weezing: Sludge, Zap Cannon, Selfdestruct, Haze
Chinchou: Surf, Thunder, Rain Dance, Confuse Ray
The CPU had to lead with Weezing for this battle, while I go with Arcanine, if I had Vulpix as my lead, then I would be able to use Dig to avoid Weezing's Selfdestruct, and I will want to save one of them for when Bellossom comes onto the field, and I had to make the switch to something that I don't need for the rest of the fight, so I chose to have Metapod take Weezing's Selfdestruct and go down, because Metapod isn't going to be doing anything for this battle.
Lanturn does have a good advantage against most opponents, as the CPU has three Water-type Pokémon, but they can have ways to deal with Lanturn, Corsola has Mirror Coat, Feraligatr has Dig and outspeeds Lanturn, and it is slower than its pre-evolved form Chinchou, which can set up Rain Dance and use Thunder. The best that I could do is confuse Corsola with Supersonic, then switch to Porygon2 and use that to get in as much damage on Corsola with Thief so that I can deal the finishing blow with Zap Cannon.
Weepinbell is my backup for the Water-types, I didn't want to take chances with it against Corsola, even if Razor Leaf is 4x effective, I wasn't sure if Corsola would survive the hit, because if it did, then it would take out Weepinbell with Mirror Coat, and this would mean I would have no way to take on Chinchou, as Weepinbell resists both of Chinchou's STAB moves, making it my best choice.
For the Flying-type Doduo, this is the one where Lanturn's Spark comes to use, Arcanine is a backup if I need it, while Vulpix has its best matchup for Bellossom, and its Confuse Ray and Sunny Day can come to use if up against a Fire-type to reduce the damage from their Water-type moves, and Vulpix does outspeed Feraligatr if it comes down to that, as Vulpix can use Dig to avoid the hit from Feraligatr's Dig. Weepinbell does have a good matchup for that as it can use Stun Spore to paralyze Feraligatr on the turn it attacks with Dig, that way I can use Razor Leaf to hit it, and while the opponent is using Dig, Weepinbell can use Growth on the turn Feraligatr attacks.
