Pokémon Stadium 2: Part 29 - Earl's Academy | Gym Leader Class (Skill Test/Battles)
We have reached Part 29 of Pokémon Stadium 2!
Last time, I succeeded in the Lecture and the Wisdom Test! In this episode, I will play through the battles again (AKA the Skill Test). I will be battling five Pokémon Trainers this time, as I will again select the three correct Pokémon for each battle.
The following five trainers I will battle this time are:
1. PokéManiac Joseph - Teach him how Pokémon can miss turns by causing status problems and other conditions, such as confusing and infatuating the targets with Confuse Ray & Attract (Correct Pokémon: Lanturn/Gastly/Raichu) (Wrong Pokémon: Exeggutor/Butterfree/Jumpluff)
2. Kimono Girl Naomi - She will start with Murkrow, then use Ghost-type Pokémon; teach her how certain items, such as specific Berries, can instantly cure Pokémon of status problems or other conditions after using moves that cause said problems (Correct Pokémon: Primeape/Poliwhirl/Politoed) (Wrong Pokémon: Mankey/Nidoking/Poliwrath)
3. Lass Tammy - This trainer has dual-type Pokémon; teach her how STAB works, with Pokémon types that have the same-type moves, such as a Pikachu that can learn Thunderbolt (Correct Pokémon: Mareep/Wooper/Spinarak) (Wrong Pokémon: Quagsire/Electabuzz/Kingler)
4. Youngster Dustin - Last time during the Trainer Class, we taught Youngster Jonathan how to use Dig & Fly to dodge two-turn attacks; now, this trainer will use those two moves against you. Teach him how to use moves that can attack while those two specific moves are in effect; you can use moves such as Earthquake and Thunder while this can happen, and Mind Reader or Lock-On can be helpful before using those two specific moves (Correct Pokémon: Seadra/Magneton/Aerodactyl) (Wrong Pokémon: Hitmontop/Porygon/Arbok)
5. Schoolboy Nolan - This trainer's Pokémon will have high Defense stats and they will also use Light Screen to raise their Special Defense stats; teach him how to attack using physical moves, such as Body Slam & Headbutt (Correct Pokémon: Staryu/Mr. Mime/Jynx) (Wrong Pokémon: Gengar/Alakazam/Hypno)
After this section is completed, I will win a Pikachu Medal for clearing the Gym Leader Class; I will then unlock the Elite Four Class, which is what I'll be doing next time!
How well will I do this time? Watch this video and find out for yourselves!
See you guys later for Part 30!
