Time for this week's Surprise Trade, and I chose the Pokémon for this week, and it is Exeggcute. I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and I went with Modest for the Nature, because the Exeggcute line are used for Special Attacking, it could work with Bold for a defensive set, despite the evolution line being weak to a lot of types. There were some trades that I cut out in the video, and I want to go over why, one of them was a Tympole was a nickname that was not appropriate, and the very next trade was a player with a username that was not family friendly, and the Pokémon I received was Dottler, which had its Japanese name, whenever I get a player with a username or Pokémon nickname that is not family friendly, I cut out the trade completely.
I wasn't sure whether to go with Harvest, but decided to stick with Chlorophyll, Exeggutor isn't that commonly used in online battles, and you can't evolve Exeggcute into Alolan Exeggutor in this game unlike in the Gen 7 games, the Egg Moves I went with were Ancient Power, Curse, Sleep Powder, and Moonlight, it can get Block, Ingrain, Poison Powder, and Stun Spore for Egg Moves as well, I will list which parents in the Grass Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Ancient Power: Tangela, Tangrowth
Block: Tangrowth
Curse: Ferroseed, Ferrothorn, Phantump, Trevenant, Appletun
Ingrain: Tangela, Roselia, Roserade, Snover, Abomasnow, Tangrowth, Maractus, Foongus, Amoonguss, Ferroseed, Ferrothorn, Phantump, Trevenant, Fomantis, Lurantis, Morelull, Shiinotic
Moonlight: Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Bellossom, Morelull, Shiinotic
Poison Powder: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Tangela, Bellossom, Tangrowth, Cottonee, Whimsicott
Sleep Powder: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Tangela, Bellossom, Tangowth, Morelull, Shiinotic
Stun Spore: Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Tangela, Bellossom, Roselia, Roserade, Tangrowth, Cottonee, Whimsicott, Foongus, Amoonguss

In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Exeggcute learns Synthesis, Nature Power, Grassy Terrain, Leaf Storm, and Power Swap, and I wouldn't recommend many of them, maybe Power Swap as it is a rare move in its Egg Group, Grassy Terrain instead of Curse is not a bad option, it already learns Synthesis through level up, and Exeggutor can already learn Leaf Storm through level up.
Exeggcute requires a Leaf Stone to evolve into Exeggutor, and for level up moves, it can learn Absorb, Hypnosis, Reflect, Leech Seed, Mega Drain, Confusion, Synthesis, Bullet Seed, Giga Drain, Extrasensory, Uproar, Worry Seed, and Solar Beam, it did used to have Barrage for its signature move, but that move did not return to this game. Exeggutor learns Stomp upon evolution, and it can relearn Seed Bomb, Psyshock, Wood Hammer, and Leaf Storm.
Next are TMs and TRs, and I will be going over what Exeggutor can learn, I won't be going over Alolan Exeggutor, because Exeggcute cannot evolve into Alolan Exeggutor in this game, it can only do that in Gen 7. Through TM, it can learn Magical Leaf, Light Screen, Reflect, Self-Destruct, Psycho Cut, Trick Room, Bulldoze, and Stomping Tantrum, and for TRs, it can learn Swords Dance, Low Kick, Sludge Bomb, Psychic, Future Sight, Calm Mind, Energy Ball, and Grass Knot, and for Tutor moves, it can learn Terrain Pulse, Grassy Glide, and Expanding Force. If you want me to go over Alolan Exeggutor, it can learn Flamethrower, which is a move you wouldn't expect an Exeggutor to learn.
Exeggutor has no competitive viability, it did use to be really good back in Gen 1 where it was one of the best Grass-types back then, but newer threats have prevented Exeggutor from seeing competitive success. While it can get a boost in Speed with Chlorophyll, there's no point taking that over Venusaur, even if it can make use of moves like Solar Beam, Psychic, and Sludge Bomb. As with Harvest, while it is a nice Ability, I prefer Trevenant when it comes to that Ability, and Trevenant is a lower-tier Pokémon, and while it can pair with moves like Substitute and Leech Seed when it comes to Harvest, Exeggutor has too many weaknesses, it is 4x weak to Bug, and it is weak to types like Fire, Flying, Ice, Dark, Ghost, and Poison, it is very difficult to use in battle.
It's not worth using in Double Battles as there are much better Trick Room setters like Dusclops and Porygon2, and as with Alolan Exeggutor, it's at least decent if it has support, but it is 4x weak to Ice as it is part Dragon-type, it has solid stats, but it is hard to use if it is weak to a lot of types.
