Now with the Rotom Bike upgrade, we can cross the icy waters of Route 9, which for some weird reason is the only area in Galar where you can battle Swimmers, but there are some Black Belts there too.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Route 9 has some good items, including a TM for Rock Slide, which is a really good move to have if you are using a Rock-type like Gigalith, Drednaw, Crustle or Coalossal, it is a good coverage move on Pokémon like Conkeldurr, Mudsdale, Durant, Flygon, Mamoswine, and a few others, and a Protector, which you can use to evolve Rhydon into Rhyperior. There are a lot of new encounters on this section of Route 9.
Starting off the Circhester Bay encounters is Clobbopus, a Fighting-type Pokémon that evolves into Grapploct when it levels up while knowing Taunt. You can also encounter Grapploct in the wild, they are at Level 50, so they can be a great option if you can capture one of them, specially for the upcoming Gym. Grapploct has really good Attack, downside is its low Speed, and it can learn a move called Octolock, which traps the foe and lowers their defenses, so it is a great move in Double Battles. It does also get some good Physical moves like Liquidation, Superpower, Payback, and a few others, this is a good option to consider.
Next up is Bergmite, which can be evolved into Avalugg in one level. Even though Avalugg does have very high Defense, Ice is a terrible defensive type, it is very slow, and its Special Defense is quite low, so it cannot take a Special hit. When using Avalugg, you will need skill, as it can take Physical hits well, and it does have some nice moves like Avalanche and Crunch, it is a great user of Body Press, as that uses the user's Defense, and it goes very well with Avalugg's high Defense stat. It's a decent choice, but you will need some strategy when using it.
There is a 1% encounter on this route, and that is Dhelmise, while it is a Ghost/Grass-type, Dhelmise does get an interesting Ability that gives it STAB to Steel-type moves, so Dhelmise will get STAB from three types. It is the only Pokémon to learn the move Anchor Shot, and it has a good Physical movepool, which include Power Whip, Phantom Force, Earthquake, Shadow Claw, Liquidation, and many others. If you get really lucky, Dhelmise will make a great addition to your team.
There are some evolved Pokémon that you can encounter, which include Octillery, Barbaracle, and Toxapex, and one thing to note is that Toxapex is a 5% encounter in Shield, while Bergmite is a 15% encounter in Sword.
Now we move onto water encounters, to start things off is Wailmer, which you can evolve into Wailord right away. Wailord has a really high HP stat, and it has good offensive capabilities, but its Defenses are quite low, it does get some nice moves like Surf, Ice Beam, Earthquake, Heavy Slam, and many others, and it is one of few Pokémon to learn Water Spout. Wailord is a decent Water-type option, but there are some better options out there. You can even find wild Wailord rarely, but it is recommend that you evolve it from a Wailmer to make it easier.
Now moving onto a super rare encounter, the Water/Ice-type Lapras can be found there, it has good HP and solid stats, and can use Surf and Ice Beam to good use. Lapras has a wide movepool, with moves like Thunderbolt, Psychic, Drill Run, Megahorn, and many others. It can take time, but if you get really lucky, it is a good option to add to your team.
You can find wild Mantine on this route, and I did go over it with Mantyke in the previous part, but it's there if you want to use one. Another thing that I forgot to note is that if a Poison-type Pokémon uses Toxic against an opponent that uses Dig, Fly, or Bounce, it will always affect it, I did not know about that until the Let's Go games.
Then we head to Outer Spikemuth, and there are some Pokémon you can find there, including Thievul, Perrserker, Liepard, and Morpeko. You can find a Scope Lens on this route, which can really help if you are using a Pokémon with Sniper, like Drapion or Barbaracle, or if you have a Pokémon with Super Luck, like Unfezant.
