Well, the game has been out for a couple of years now, so it's probably time to finally start Gen 8! Starting my first playthrough of Pokemon Sword.

Now, whenever I've done a Pokemon LP for the masses, it's usually been after playing the game before. However, this is the first time I'm playing a Pokemon game for the first time live for people, so now people can see how I normally go about playing these games when I approach them for the first time.

I'm not really sure how this is going to go, especially considering the nature of how Sword and Shield work, but I'm gonna give it a shot. In terms of what I'm aiming for in this playthrough, whether it concerns pokedex completion or not, I'm not freaking sure, so it's probably best not to ask, lol.

This first session introduces the main plot and gets me started on my Pokemon adventure all the way up to the gym challenge registration! Also, for this playthrough, I'm thinking of alternating segments, where I do one session of progression, and then another session of grinding and Wild Area exploration. If the grinding sessions become a little uneventful over time, I'll cut/leave them out, but I did want to at least give you guys some kind of an idea of how I normally play through these games, at least. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/slimkirby
