Pokémon Yellow: Professor Oak Challenge - Session #5
23Hello everybody, SlimKirby here, and welcome back to the Professor Oak challenge!
The basic idea for this challenge is that in order for me to make any progression in the game, I have to catch and evolve all Pokemon that are possible to get in my Pokedex before I can make any real progress. This means, for example, before I could face Brock, the first gym leader, I had to catch every Pokemon in the first few areas and fully evolve them before beating him, and getting access to more of the game. Then, I would have to do the same thing for each consecutive part of the game. So for section #2, I had to get every new pokemon I could catch and evolve before beating Misty and getting the ability to use Cut, to unlock more of the game. This challenge is not really that difficult; just tedious and grindy, but you know me, I love my perfectionist and very grindy video games, so I figured this challenge was perfect for me, lol.
We're still on the 3rd milestone, but not for long! We're finally in the level grinding portion of this section, so once we are done with that, we can finally get our next gym badge and start surfing our way to other waters and to the following milestone, which...hey, may not take not take as long as this 3rd one!
