Poor Cascadia... The Final Earthquake Is Coming!
A strong earthquake in the Northeast Pacific, widely predicted for the next few years, will most likely create waves large enough to wipe out entire cities in the Northwestern U.S. Evacuation towers may be the only hope, if they are ever built. But there is no money.
How, then, to save ourselves from the dual threat? And why are we certain that sooner or later this catastrophe will reach us?
In the year 1700, a massive tsunami hit the east coast of Japan, leaving a lasting impact on the collective Japanese consciousness. What made this event so remarkable was that it occurred without any accompanying earthquake, catching the population completely off guard. The waves crashed onto the shore without warning, causing extensive damage and numerous casualties.
